The Great Indian Kapil Show Episode 5 On Netflix: Why ‘Aamir Unlimited’ Is the Best Ever

Written by Subhajit Banerjee

Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan, finally appeared on a Kapil Sharma show, and it’s worth watching for many reasons. This is arguably the best thing to happen in recent days in the entertainment arena, where the real Aamir Khan opened up and revealed several aspects of ‘Aamir Khan’. The fifth episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show is now streaming on Netflix, filled with laughter, emotions, secrets, and answers to many questions we’ve been asking about the person who has been evading the limelight of award shows and talk shows due to his own principles. However, when Kapil Sharma, the most popular talk show host in Hindi, sat down with Aamir (and also his family, mainly his sisters Nikhat and Farhat), several details unfolded.

Here are five reasons why the fifth episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show with Aamir Khan is a must-watch for those who follow Bollywood and its master artist:

It’s not your usual Kapil Sharma show where sleaze and body shaming rule

This episode is essentially a talk show that calmly delves into Aamir Khan’s real and reel life and exits with a plethora of details. Kapil Sharma, after stepping a little bit away from his usual tropes, engages with the Dangal actor with utmost responsibility to extract maximum details from the actor who ‘would rather stay indoors than go to parties and functions’ and ‘reads books’.

Aamir answers many questions you’ve wanted to ask him

You must have wondered: what could be the reason why Aamir Khan, the actor who has created more than a dozen movies worthy of several industry awards, is staying away from the award shows? Apart from his (ex) wives and children, who else is there in the family and how do they see him? Why did he say no to the Shaheed Bhagat Singh biopic but agreed to portray a much younger 18-19-year-old in 3 Idiots? Why did he struggle at the beginning of his career when he already had industry veterans in his family? This episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show has all those questions and answers about Aamir Khan’s life.

Nikhat and Farhat are a delight to watch in the presence of Aamir Khan

Halfway through the episode, Aamir introduces his sisters who were present on the show – Nikhat (yes, the same sister you saw in Pathaan) and Farhat. Both reveal how Aamir was as a kid and how he remains the same after all these years. Farhat vouches that she had beaten him when they were kids but says, “he has a heart of gold and we keep him grounded.” At one point, Aamir says their mother is beautiful, but the sisters jump in and add, “Abba was handsome too”. Aamir goes on to discuss how good an actor Farhat is, ‘better than him’. Then he talks about directing Farhat for a short film based on HH Munro’s short story ‘The Open Window’.

Aamir Khan masterclass

There are two instances in which Aamir The Perfectionist reveals everything about how he makes things easier for him and his crew, one involving a location experience and another about how he made use of AR Murugadoss’ and his nephew’s mannerisms to better portray the Rancho character in 3 Idiots.

A different Kapil Sharma and a submission

“This is the only thing that has been selling for me for the last 10 years,” Kapil Sharma tells Aamir Khan as he asks a seemingly silly question about a kissing scene in Aamir’s hit movie Raja Hindustani. Then Kapil Sharma steers away from all those nonsensical questions and delivers the audience a good experience filled with a lot of fun and laughter.
