Malayalam movie Manjummel Boys will release today. Fans have been counting days for the release of the film which boasts all the favourite stars coming together. The film is based on real-life story of a bunch of friends getting lost in Kodaikanal’s Guna Cave. The film is expected to be a family-friendly cinematic experience, and is taken as a documentary-fiction, telling tales of the real-life survivors.

The story line of this Chidambaram helmed film revolves around a gripping rescue mission by a group of friends who are determined save their friend who got stuck in the perilous Guna cave. Talking about the film, actor-producer Saubin Shahir said that he was felt tensed after learning about the real-life experience of the people who were stuck at Guna cave, which is also known as Devil’s Kitchen caves.

Manjummel Boys is a story of a bunch of friends going on a vacation to the famous Guna Cave of Tamil Nadu’s Kodaikanal. Their excursion takes a darker turn when one among them slips into the hounding deep pit. The group who are determined get their friend back, joint hands with law enforcement and embark on a daring rescue mission, setting the stage for an intense and thrilling drama.

Speaking about listening to the experience from the real-life survivors, Shahir said, “they recalled some disturbing details and events, which got me tensed not only as the producer but also as the actor who plays an important role. I used to call the real people who faced this issue to get to know their input at all stages. I would also meet them in person and honestly, I was scared thinking about how we would pull this off. We kept in touch with them to maintain that sense of truth”, as quoted by Indian Express.
