The Trial Actress Noor Malabika Das Dies By Suicide At 32: Report

Noor Malabika Das, former air hostess, and co-star of Kajol’s The Trial series has reportedly committed suicide at the age of 32. Her decomposed body was found at her Lokhandwala flat in Mumbai by the police. The date of her death is ascertained to be June 6, as per reports.

According to an ANI report, the decomposing body of Noor Malabika was found in a deteriorated state in her apartment.  Her neighbors detected an unpleasant stench coming from the apartment and informed the Oshiwara police. The authorities arrived and broke into her flat and found that the actress had hanged herself.

During the investigation, police gathered prescription drugs, her cell phone, and a journal from the residence but no suicide note was recovered from the spot. Even though the precise cause of the death is still a mystery, according to the officials Das had suffered from depression and was on medication.

The body was taken to Siddharth Hospital in Goregaon for post-mortem. Her relatives have been contacted, but none of them have come forward yet. Reports state that on June 9, the Mamdani Health and Education Trust NGO, in charge of cremating unclaimed dead in the city, assisted the police in performing her last rites. About the investigation, an official said, “We contacted her family, who had returned to their native place two weeks ago. Investigations are ongoing.”

The 32-year-old actress hails from Assam and has worked as a lead actress in several Hindi films and web series including Siskiyan, Walkman, Teetri Chutney, Jagnya Upay, Charmasukh, Dekhi Undekhi, Backroad Hulchul, etc.
