Billionaire Mark Zukerberg, in addition to having a number of businesses under the corporate name Meta, has revealed his new venture of raising a herd of beer-swilling on his Hawaii ranch through his social media account.

Sharing the image of him enjoying the “highest quality meat”, the 39-year-old billionaire revealed his new start-up to the world. Aiming to provide high-quality beef to consumers, Zukerberg is now raising cattle by feeding them with locally grown resources like macadamia meal and beer, which are produced in the Ranch itself. To sustain the cattle’s diet, the macadamia trees are planted in the fields.

“We want the whole process to be local and vertically integrated. Each cow eats 5,000-10,000 pounds of food each year, so that”s a lot of acres of macadamia trees,” he shared on Instagram.

The Meta boss revealed the detailed plan of his new venture on his top-secret compound on the island of Ko’olau.

Terming it as the ‘most delicious project’, out of all, he wrote “We want the whole process to be local and vertically integrated. Each cow eats 5,000-10,000 pounds of food each year, so that”s a lot of acres of macadamia trees,” sharing the picture of his daughter helping to plant macadamia plant.

But this new approach of the billionaire has now stirred controversies on internet. Though Zukerberg called his cattle raising a step towards good food and sustainability, he has received backlashes from vegans and called him a hypocrite, reports India today.

They pointed out that on one hand when he calls for protection of environment, on the other he served meats on table. One of the Instagram users wrote, “Keep destroying the environment. Raising cattle is one of the biggest causes of greenhouse gases. Such a disgusting and entitled thing to be doing”.
