"All India Pregnant Job Service" Scam Busted In Bihar

The Bihar Police has reportedly arrested a gang for running a fraudulent operation called the “All India Pregnant Job Agency.” The Times of India reported that the police busted the gang and arrested eight persons from Bihar“s Nawada for allegedly offering ₹ 13 lakh to men for impregnating women who could not conceive.

As per the TOI report, the gang convinced individuals to register for the agency by paying a registration fee of Rs 799. Once registered, the gang gave the participants some photographs to select which one they desired to impregnate. The report says that once the choice was made, the gang asked the individuals to deposit a “security amount.” This amount ranged from Rs 5000 to Rs 20,000, depending on how “attractive the woman was.”

The cyber fraudsters reportedly offered a prize of Rs 13 lakh for successful impregnation. Meanwhile, they also promised a consolation prize of Rs 5 lakh in case of failure. Bihar police have recovered nine mobile phones, two printers, and various data sheets from the accused. According to the police, the gang used to operate through different social media platforms. The arrests were made following a raid by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Bihar police in Nawada. However, the prime accused in the case reportedly managed to escape from the spot during the raids. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kalyan Anand, the arrested men are part of a countrywide cybercrime syndicate.
