As Congress announced the Bharat Nyay Yatra on Wednesday, BJP dismissed the proposed yatra by saying that “mere sloganeering does not change anything.” It was during a press conference Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh announced that Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will undertake Bharat Nyay Yatra, from January 14 to March 20.
BJP national spokesperson Nalin Kohli attacked the Congress and said that they cannot fool Indians by forming some slogans. Rahul Gandhi has been seen in the company of people who promotes “tukde-tukde” (division) of India, Nalin Kohli added. He also alleged that Senior Congress leader is going abroad looking for foreign interference in the country”s democracy.
Besides, Nalin Kohli asserted that Prime Minister has been doing “Real nyay” since 2014 by ensuring that development reaches every corner of the country and everyone. Referring measures for electrification of every village, free ration for the poor, building of subsidised homes, and provision of Mudra loans, he substantiated his point.
“All this is happening because PM Modi cares for people. Mere sloganeering does not change anything. What changes is your intent and commitment to implement good policies which Modi is doing,” he said.
Similarly, Union minister and senior BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi asserted that Congress inflicted all kinds of injustice including social injustice on people and had ran an unjust government during its several decades in power.
Citing banking system as big instance of such injustice, BJP leader said that when Congress gave bank loans due to personal connections to those responsible for NPA (non-performing assets), Prime Minister Modi on the other hand, included crores of people in the financial system by opening their bank accounts and put in place the foundation for social justice. She states that PM Modi has enabled justice to all by securing that development reaches everyone.
Bharat Nyay Yatra, similar on the lines of Bharat Jodo Yatra, will cover 6,200 km, traversing through 85 districts in 14 states. The yatra focusing on the regions from East to West India, will commence from Manipur and conclude in Mumbai.
