Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is all set for the Bharat Nyay Yatra from January 14 to March 20. This major announcement regarding the Bharat Nyay Yatra was made by Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh during a press conference on Wednesday, December 27.

“Now Rahul Gandhi is doing a yatra with great experience from the first Bharat Jodo Yatra,” said KC Venugopal during the press briefing. KC Venugopal also added that Rahul Gandhi will interact with the youth, women, and marginalised people in the yatra. This yatra is significant for the Congress as the party is preparing to face the 2024 Lok Sabha election. The Bharat Nyay Yatra will be similar to the “Bharat Jodo Yatra“, which covered over 4500 km.

Key Points About Congress”s Bharat Nyay Yatra:

> The Bharat Nyay Yatra, which will cover 6,200 km, will begin on January 14 from Manipur and end in Mumbai on March 20.
> This initiative was suggested unanimously by the Congress Working Committee.
> This yatra focuses on the regions from East to West India.
> It will be flagged off by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge from Manipur”s Imphal.
> On choosing Manipur as the starting point of the yatra, KC Venugopal said the party needs to “heal the wounds” of the people of that state.
> Rahul Gandhi will cover 14 states and 85 districts during this yatra.
> The yatra will cover the states including Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.
> Notably, most of the Bharat Nyay Yatra will be undertaken on a bus. However, KC Venugopal said that there will be a walking stretch as well.
> With this initiative, the Congress party is aiming to engage with the public and discuss major national concerns.
