Cockroach Janata Party Withdraws Its Nationwide Protest
New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced the withdrawal of its nationwide agitation with immediate effect, after Dharmendra Pradhan announced his resignation on Saturday, July 25.
In a statement, the CJP said that all demands of the Cockroach Janta Party have been accepted by the government, including maximum possible compensation for families of NEET paper leak-related suicides and the withdrawal of all FIRs by central and NDA-ruled state governments against the protesters.

“No action will be taken against anyone involved in these protests in the future,” the CJP said in its statement, adding that CJP’s 5-point exam reform charter will be considered by the govt and the CJP will meet with the govt to discuss these reforms further.
Earlier, in a dramatic political development following weeks of escalating student unrest, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The announcement, made on Saturday, comes after a deadlock between the Union government and the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which has been leading nationwide student demonstrations.

Pradhan’s resignation was described by the CJP as a “non-negotiable” condition ahead of a crucial third round of talks aimed at ending a month-long standoff. Protests spearheaded by the group at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar and across multiple cities escalated significantly following violent clashes with security forces on 20 July during a march towards Parliament.
After the talks with Cockroach Janta Party delegation, Union Minister JP Nadda said that the they had a long conversation and the CJP brought a written draft in which they made four points about the ongoing cases in agitation. “Along with that, we discussed the other two demands: no retaliatory measures should be taken, compensation should be provided, and their five-point charter should be considered. We will provide them with copy of the FIRs, and no action will be taken. The second thing that has been said is that regarding compensation, the government has clearly stated that we also sympathize. We all have said that there will be compensation according to the rules and regulations, whatever maximum will be possible will be given to them,” he said.
While responding to the developments, Leader of Opposition (Lok Sabha) Rahul Gandhi said: “…I want to thank all the students from the bottom of my heart and whatever support they need from my side, wherever they need support, I am ready. Congress party’s idea with the protest was to support it wholeheartedly. We supported it and we are here to protect the students of India, to protect the future of India. This is a fight between the past, which is Narendra Modi and the RSS and the future of India and we are very confident that the future of India will defeat the past”
After the CJP called off their protest, Special Commissioner of Police, Law & Order, Devesh Chandra Srivastava appealed to the students to return from Jantar Mantar peacefully “and wherever they are going on the way cooperate with the police personnel on duty and maintain peace and order”
