Dharmasthala, Karnataka: As the excavation process continues following the ex-worker’s explosive mass burial allegations, partial human remains were found on Thursday in Karnataka’s Dharmasthala. The excavation has been carried out under the supervision of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up to probe the Dharmasthala horror disclosure.

The skeleton remains were found on the third day of exhumation at spot 6, near the Nethravathi river, reports The New Minutes. The development is believed to be a significant breakthrough in the case. The investigation team discovered the body remains, and the forensic team has been scientifically collecting the remains.

The complainant, a former worker of the temple town, had alleged that he was forced to bury the dead bodies of hundreds of women and minors, many showing signs of sexual assault, and murder between 1998 and 2014.

However, as per the report, the skeletal remains, which were found at the sixth site identified by the complainant-witness, are learned to be that of a man.

During the excavation, SIT officials including SP Jitendra Kumar Dayama and Puttur Assistant Commissioner Stella Verghese were present at the site. The probe team has been carrying out digging processes at locations identified by the former worker. Notably, reports say that no remains were found at the five identified locations in the first two days starting on Tuesday.
