Faridabad: Woman Gang-Raped In Moving Van, Thrown In To Road After Two Hour-Long Assault
Faridabad, Haryana: A 28-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped in a moving van by two men after she reportedly accepted a lift from the a Maruti Suzuki Eeco from Metro Chowk late on Monday night. She was heading home to Kalyanpuri Chowk from a friend’s place.
The victim was brutally assaulted for over two hours before being thrown out of the van on on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. When the woman was waiting for a vehicle to go home at night, the accused men stopped their van and lured her into the vehicle, promising to drop her home.

However, after getting in the car, the vehicle moved towards Gurgaon Road. The two men in the vehicle continued to rape the victim for over two and a half hours despite strong resistance. The accused also allegedly threatened the woman.
Around 3 am, the assailants allegedly threw the woman out of the moving van near Raja Chowk in SGM Nagar. The woman suffered severe facial injuries and required more than 10 stitches. The victim managed to call her sister for help before being rushed to Badshah Khan Hospital in a critical condition.

Faridabad police detained both suspects on Tuesday evening, recovered the van, and registered an FIR under sections 70(1) (gangrape), 351(3) (criminal intimidation), and 3(5) (common intention) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Kotwali police station; formal arrests are pending as the victim remains unfit to give a statement, with investigations ongoing including forensic analysis.
