Teenage Girl Beaten, Bitten By Dog, Stripped And Held Captive With Mouth Tapped By Employer (image: X @ Gurugram police)

A teenage girl who work as domestic help was beaten up, bitten by dog and was forced to strip by the family she works for, said police. The 13 year-old was held captive in a room with her mouth taped and was freed when her mother reached the spot with her employer. The incident happened at Gurgaon Sector 57, in Haryana.

The complaint filed by the girl’s mother said the woman of the house that the girl worked often beat the girl with iron rod and hammer and her two sons made the teenager strip, filmed her nude picture and touched her inappropriately, and the girl was given food only once in 48 hours and her moth was tapped so that she could not cause alarm, as per police.

The FIR at the 51 Women’s Police Station read that the girl’s employers poured acid on her hands and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about her situation.

The girl’s mother said she got the job for her daughter on June 27 at Shashi Sharma’s home in Sector 57 with the help of a person who used to clean vehicles in nearby areas. The employer family wanted the girl to stay with them and offered to pay Rs. 9000 per month. The mother said she received the money for first two months only. She said though she went to meet her daughter several times, she was not allowed to see her or talk to her on phone.

After the complaint was filed, Shashi Sharma and her two sons were charged with cruelty, outraging modesty of women, criminal intimidation, Section 10 of the POSCO (Protection of Children From Sexual Offences) Act and Section 75 of the Juvenile Justice Act, said the police.
