After the footages of students protesting against the suspension of three Muslim teachers in Rajasthan over the allegations of forceful conversion, student of the school walked kilometres protesting against the suspension. They demanded revocation of suspension.
The students jointly came forward and said that they were not forced by the teachers, but was forced to lie about the teachers forcing them to offer namaz.
Despite media house refusing to report on the student protest as widely as they did with the suspension news, internet is all praise to the students for standing up for their teacher. Netizens say, “not all is lost for India”.
The internet flows congratulate the children for their bravery. One X user said he “hope they make big in their lives to save the country”. Another user called the children as the “real India”, and the “future of India”.
Another user named The Pacifist opined that the children got the real education. The user said, “real education gives you strength to speak and stand for truth…”. Another user is proud to watch “girls taking on the might of the system for their teachers”. A user named Reema finds the footage of the children protesting “beautiful”. The user wishes more power to the students as they show “courage, love, and respect”.
Another user said, it is “heartening to see Hindu students standing up for justice and solidarity with their Muslim teachers against baseless accusations”. Another user called the student protest as “right use of education and FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS at right time”.
In Rajasthan’s Kota district, three teachers were suspended by the education ministry after a local Hindu group, Sarva Hindu Samaj submitted a memorandum alleging religious conversion and attempted love jihad.
The media then run stories about the suspension of teachers citing alleged conversion and love of Jihad. However, the subsequent protest of the students against the suspension of their teachers, refuting the allegations and demanding the withdrawal of the teachers’ suspension received ‘very little’ attention from the mainstream media.
