Journalist Sarita Patel, Missing Since April 30, Found In Critically Injured In Rajgarh, With Body Tied, Petrol Poured
Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh: Sarita Patel, a 40-year-old journalist and YouTuber from Mirzapur, went missing since April 30 and was discovered in critical condition near a culvert in the Rajgarh area in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur.
The female journalist, who is also known as Sarita Singh was found with her her hands, legs, and mouth tied, and petrol poured on her in an apparent attempt to burn her alive. Local residents discovered the critically injured woman when they were returning from a wedding function.

After Police launched an investigation into the incident, the officials found the entire incident as a fake kidnapping drama. The officials arrested six people including Sarita Patel in connection with the incident.
According to the initial reports, residents returning from a wedding function discovered her lying by the roadside with her hands, legs, and mouth tied. Petrol had allegedly been poured on her body in what appeared to be an attempt to burn her alive.
Following the incident, Sarita filed a complaint at the Adlahat police station, claiming she had been kidnapped and abandoned by unidentified persons. Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the sensational allegations.
However, during the probe, investigators reportedly found several inconsistencies in her statement. According to Mirzapur ASP Operations Rajkumar Meena, scientific evidence and technical investigation later revealed that the incident had been carefully planned.
Police arrested six accused in connection with the conspiracy, as per TOI.
