'Lost Faith In Safdarjung Govt Hospital': Sonam Wangchuk's Wife Moves Delhi HC, Seeks His Transfer To Another Hospital
New Delhi: Activist Sonam Wangchuk’s wife, Gitanjali J. Angmo has approached the Delhi High Court seeking urgent hearing to shift Wangchuk from the Safdarjung Government Hospital. Sonam Wangchuk had been on an indefinite hunger strike demanding Union Education Minister Dharmednra Pradhan’s resignation over NEET paper leak, before he was forcefully shifted to hospital due to health-related concerns.
Gitanjali has said that she has lost faith in the Safdarjung government Hospital. The activist was forcibly admitted to the hospital by the Delhi police after his health was deteriorated on the 21th day of hunger strike at the Janatar Mandar in New Delhi.

The team of doctors had recommended shifting him to the hospital. As per the High Court’s order on July 15, the doctors could take “whatever medical intervention required” in the interest of Wangchuk’s health.
