Air India on Saturday took to their official social media handles and shared a sneak peak of their much-awaited Airbus A350 aircraft. Aviation enthusiasts and travellers are excited as the first glimpse of the livery for the craft is out.
‘’Majestic’’, the airline described their new toy noted for the enhanced passenger experience. It is in a paint shop in Toulouse, France, and is expected to ‘’come home this winter’’, said the company through their official X (formerly Twitter) handle.
The new craft exemplifies the airlines commitment to offer its passengers a modern and visually appealing experience. A350 offers the ultimate passenger experience even on the longest of flights.
The design is special as it is extremely spacious with wide seats, high ceilings and attractive ambient lightings. It is made up of cabin advanced technology delivering high air quality and renews the air every two-to-three minute, as said by the Airbus product services.

It offers typical 3-class seating from 300 up to 410 capacities with wide panoramic windows. In-flight entertainment system with on-board WiFi is incorporated and provides largest overhead bins and full LED moon lighting. The temperature remains balanced throughout the flight and is coming up with carbon emission advantages. It results 25% lower fuel burn and CO2 emissions.
A350 includes state-of-the-art technologies and aerodynamics. It is installed with two Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, the most efficient and large now in-service. The craft, which enables a long-range flying up to 9,700 nm is also the quietest in its class with 50% noise footprint reduction.
Earlier this year in August, Air India unveiled its new logo and colour scheme, part of its rebranding exercise. The colour scheme incorporates a stylish design on red, white, and purple and the logo is a modern revamp on the airline’s iconic Maharaja mascot.
Air India, headquartered in New Delhi is the flag carrier craft of India and is owned by Talace Private Limited, a fully owned subsidiary of Tata Sons, after Government of India completed the sale. Air India and Vistara, another subsidiary of Tata Sons, is expected to be merged by March 2024, creating a more uniformed identity.
