In her post, the victim said a protest where women were taking the lead. “A place where voices are being raised for something bigger. And yet, even there, a man felt entitled to touch my body. I screamed at him, and he ran into the crowd. One man in the crowd slapped him and he fled,” the victim said.

“A local man/ a piece of shit in a white shirt did this to me today, at a protest where women were raising their voices. And hearing that other girls have faced similar harassment, including incidents involving Delhi Police personnel, makes it even more disturbing,” the victim said in her post.

The woman then highlighted that what hurt her the most was not just what the accused man did to her, but it was a woman calling out her while she was screaming, telling, “Move on, don’t mind it.”

“And all I could think was, how many girls have suffered the same thing and been told to simply move on? Girl to girl, how many more of us have to endure this before we stop telling each other to ignore it?,” the woman wrote, asking others to speak up.
