Vivek Bindra, entrepreneur and motivational speaker, has been booked for allegedly assaulting his wife, said police officials. The issue is under investigation and actions would be taken upon probe. The FIR for the case was lodged on December 14, after receiving complaint from Vaibhav Kwatra, brother of Vivek Bindra’s wife Yanika.
Mr. Kwatra claimed that Vivek Bindra “abused and beat” his wife when she intervened while Mr. Bindra was arguing with his mother. The wife was left with “wounds all over her body, she is unable to hear, and her hair were also torn out”. It is also said that she is under treatment at Kailash Deepak Hospital in Delhi. Mr. Kwatra said Mr. Bindra broke Yanika’s mobile phone.
On the basis of the complaint, a senior officer said to media that the FIR was lodged under section 323 (causing hurt), section 504 (insult to provoke breach of peace), section 325 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt) and 427 (mischief) of Indian Penal Code (IPC). “We have launched an investigation into the case to ascertain the facts. Necessary actions would be taken accordingly,” said Assistant Commissioner of police, Rajneesh Verma to PTI.
Vivek Bindra is the CEO of Bada Business Private Limited (BBPL). The motivational speaker has millions of followers on social media platforms like YouTube and Instagram. He is also at the centre of another allegation od scam. As per a video released by YouTuber Sandeep Maheshwari, which was titled as “Big Scam Exposed”, students claimed to have been deceived by Vivek Bindra’s company. Mr. Bindra has denied the allegations.
