“Nehru Ji Is Known For The Work He Did…”: Rahul Gandhi On Centre Renaming Nehru Memorial

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi reacted for the first time after the NDA government renamed Nehru Memorial Museum and Library renamed as Prime Minister”s Museum and Library. The Congress leader said Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is not known for his name but for his work.

“Nehru Ji is known for the work he did and not just his name,” Mr Gandhi told news agency ANI.

Nehru Memorial Museum and Library was renamed as Prime Minister”s Museum and Library on August 14. The central government’s culture ministry had said in a statement that the Museum housed in a new building “recognizes all the Prime Ministers, thereby democratizing the institutional memory.”

“Housed in a new building the museum then goes on to tell the story of how our Prime Ministers navigated the nation through various challenges and ensured the all-round progress of the country. It recognizes all the Prime Ministers, thereby democratizing the institutional memory,” the culture ministry release had said.
