Pakistan Military Moving Troops To Forward Areas, Says Indian Army

New Delhi: As aerial attacks using drones continue unabated, Pakistan has been seen moving troops towards the border areas.  Wing Commander Vyomika Singh on Saturday said that Pakistani troops have been observed moving into forward areas, indicating their intent to further escalate the tensions.

“Indian armed forces remain in a high state of operational readiness, and all hostile actions have been effectively countered and responded to proportionately” the wind commander added in a press briefing. The Indian armed forces also reiterated commitment to non-escalation.

Ministry of Defence and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh and Col Sofiya Qureshi addressed the nation in a joint special briefing on Saturday.

Singh stated that Pakistan had launched a high speed missile in Punjab and attacked medical facilities in Srinagar, Avantipura and Udhampur.

Col Sofiya Qureshi has said that a befitting reply has been given to Pakistani actions, pointing out that Pakistan military used high-speed missiles at 1.40 am to target air base in Punjab. She said Pakistan also targeted health facilities and schools at its three air bases in Indian-controlled Kashmir.

The officer further noted that Pakistani army is continuously attacking the western borders using drones, long-range weapons, loitering munitions and fighter jets to attack India’s military sites.

“India neutralised many dangers, but Pakistan tried to infiltrate via Air at more than 26 places, and they damaged our equipment and personnel at air force bases in Udhampur, Bhuj, Pathankot, Bathinda,” she added.
