Gurugram, Haryana: A taxi biker and his passenger were killed after an SUV rammed their scooter on Dharm Marg in Sector 57 in Gurugram on Saturday while driving in the wrong direction.

The deceased were identified as 26-year-old Ritik Kumar, a resident of Motihari in Bihar who lived in Sector 17, and 24-year-old Kartik Suresh, a college student from Sector 60.

The accident happened near the entrance of The Legend Society between 2 am and 2.30 am when Suresh was returning home after attending a friend’s birthday party after hiring a taxi bike.

According to the police, the passenger booked the taxi to reach home after attending birth day party, and the accident happened about four kilometres from his residence. A  black Tata Harrier with an Uttar Pradesh registration number entered Dharm Marg from Golf Course Extension Road on the wrong side and rammed into the scooter, leading to the both the persons death.

There were two people inside the car when it hit the bike.
