Communal violence erupted in the region when 22-year-old Ram Gopal Mishra was shot dead during the Durga idol procession. The media cell of the Bahraich Police however, rejected the claim and called it is “misleading.” A statement issued by the police said that such rumors are making rounds on social media with the aim of disturbing communal harmony. The police also warned of legal action against those spreading misinformation.

Chaudhary also made a communal remark during the show by suggesting that such brutality is expected to be inflicted on the Hindu minorities in Bangladesh but has happened in India instead.
