Indian Forest Service official Parveen Kaswan recently shared stunning pictures of ‘the black tigers of India. According to Mr Kaswan, who regularly shares updates on Indian wildlife on social media, these black tigers of India are pseudo- melanistic tigers found in Simlipal. They have been called black tigers due to genetic mutation and these big cats are highly rare.
“Such beautiful creature,” Mr Kaswan wrote on X (formerly X).
According to Parveen Kaswan, the first confirmed record of the now famous pseudo-melanistic tigers of Similipal came in 1993.
