
Truck-SUV Collision In Madhya Pradesh: At Least 7 Killed, Several Injured (image: David von Diemar/unsplash.com)
Sidhi, Madhya Pradesh: At least seven persons were killed and 14 others injured after a truck collided with a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi district early on Monday (March 10), police said. The incident occurred near Upni petrol pump on Sidhi-Bahri Road at around 2:30 am.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Gayatri, the SUV which was running as a taxi service carrying members of a family was going towards Maihar, while the truck was going to Bahri from Sidhi. The severity of the collision resulted in the instant deaths of seven passengers in the SUV, while 14 others were incurred injuries.

Nine persons, who sustained injuries were referred to neighbouring Rewa for further treatment and the others were given treatment at the Sidhi district hospital, DSP Gayathri added.

Police have arrested the truck driver, and further investigation is progressing, official said.
