The Mumbai traffic police has received a message late on Sunday from an unknown number stating that if Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath does not resign from his post within 10 days, he would meet the same fate of Baba Siddique, the murdered Maharashtra former minister.
A 24-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with threat message targeting the UP chief minister. The investigation has revealed that the message was sent from Fatima Khan and as per NDTV report, she has been suffering from mental health issues.

According to officials, the messages was received by the traffic police’s helpline number. The Worli police has launched an investigation to trace the sender. “We are scrutinising the call data records and trying to identify the individual,” an officer said.
“Mumbai traffic Police Control Room received a death threat regarding UP CM Yogi Adityanath, yesterday. The message said that if CM Yogi doesn’t resign in 10 days, he will be killed like Baba Siddique. Mumbai Police Traffic Control Cell received the message from an unknown number. Police probe is underway to find the sender of the message,” Mumbai police said in a statement.
The threat message has come just days after Bollywood actor Salman Khan received a similar threat from an unknown number demanding Rs 2 crore.
The latest threat message has come amid wave of death threats received by cops in Mumbai over the past few weeks. Most of them were targeted to film actor Salman Khan and threatened that the actor would be killed unless he paid a ransom.
The Mumbai police are on alert as Adityanath is likely to come to Maharashtra for the state assembly election campaign and have launched a probe into the threat message, the official added.

The Chief minister’s security has been beefed up following the message.
Baba Siddique was shot dead by three men outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office on October 12. He was shot by three assailants while celebrating Dussehra outside his sons’s office.
