Uttar Pradesh Heatwave: Over 40 Schoolgirls Faint During Tiranga Yatra In Deoria , Hospitalised
Deoria, Uttar Pradesh: Over 40 girl students were hospitalised in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria after falling ill during a Tiranga Yatra (Tricolour rally) organised by the district administration ahead of the upcoming Independence Day.
The students fell ill after fainting due to the extreme heatwave during the daytime. The incident took place on Thursday, August 13, and the students are being treated in hospitals.

Students were rushed to emergency department of the Maharshi Devraha Baba Autonomous State Medical College,Doctors have attributed the incident to intense heat and sunlight. Students had reportedly complaint of tiredness and dizziness during the rally.

The Tiranga Yatra began around 11 am and was attended by around 5,000 students from several schools.
