Uttar Pradesh: Shopkeeper Shot Dead In Broad Daylight In Baghpat
Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh: In a gruesome incident, unidentified assailants shot dead a shopkeeper in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district on Tuesday, June 9, sparking panic among the public in the area. Footage surfaced online showed the attackers entering the shop and shooting the victim.
The assailants came to the shop in a car and directly entered the shop, and shot the victim dead. The footage has captured the shocking sequence of events in clear detail. Police reached the spot after being alerted and launched an investigation into the incident.

Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the accused using CCTV footage and other evidence.

The Baraut Police said that the accused Varun’s side opened fire on two people, resulting in their tragic deaths. They further noted that a total of 10 police teams have been formed, and legal action will soon be taken against the remaining accused. Based on the written complaint received from the family members, an FIR has been registered at Baraut Police Station under relevant sections.
“It has come to notice in the case that there was enmity between both sides due to an FIR registered at Baraut Police Station in the year 2015. In this sequence, in the year 2023, proceedings were initiated under the Gangster Act to attach the house of the accused Varun’s side, after which the accused side left Baghpat and started living in Dehradun. Yesterday, on dated 09.06.2026, the accused Varun’s side had come to the Hon’ble Court for the hearing of their date, and in that very sequence, this incident was carried out,” the police explained.
The officials further said the police will arrest the other accused soon, adding that the the situation at the scene is normal.
