New Delhi: Congress social media chairperson Supriya Shrinate on Saturday, August 30, shared a data from social media arenas, including Instagram, YouTube and Facebook, that showed Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi dominating the platforms with views and newly added followers far ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a social media post, Congress digital media chief said Rahul Gandhi dominated social media because he spoke for the people of India, raising relevant issues. He is noticed because he has waged a war against ‘Vote Chori,’ and because he is the only hope to save democracy and the constitution.

“Modi’s boring monologs have no takers,” Shrinate added referring to the Prime Minister’s social media engagement compared to the opposition leader in recent days. Vote Chori is the most viral topic on social media with billion of views, the media head pointed out.

 

The statistics that the Congress social media head shared showed Rahul Gandhi having a total of 610 million views compared to PM Modi’s 350 million views on Instagram. While the Congress leader managed to add 13 lakh new followers, PM Modi had only 2.2 lakh new followers on the platform. When it comes to Facebook, the Congress leader ruled the the platform with 348 million views while the Prime Minister had 77 million. Rahul Gandhi could add six lakh new followers and the Prime Minister only one lakh.

On YouTube too, the Congress leader dominated with 124 million video views, while PM Modi managed to get 76 million views. Rahul Gandhi also gained 3 lakh new followers, while the Prime Minister lagged behind with 2.1 lakh followers on the online video-sharing platform.
