Kerala's Life Expectancy To Rise By 10 Years By 2051: From 70 To 80-85 Years, Says Study
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: People of Kerala will be living 10 years longer than the current life expectancy rate according to a study conducted by the International Institute of Migration and Development (IIMAD) and the Population Foundation of India.
The study ‘Unravelling India’s Demographic Future’ recently published the population projection report for states and union territories. The life expectancy of the people of Kerala is projected to raise by 10 percentage.

While the Kerala men is expected to rise from 70.4 years in 2021 to 80 in 2051 and the women will go up from 75.9 to 85, suggesting a significant rise in the state’s progress in healthcare and living standards.
Meanwhile, the study has also warned that there will be fewer children among the state’s population by then as the state’s fertility rate, which is already the lowest in the country, is expected to fall further in the coming 25 years.
