Meridian Tech Park: Kerala Inks Rs 850 Crore FDI Deal To Become A "Global Innovation Hub"

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan has announced that a Letter of Intent was signed on Wednesday, November 5, for Meridian Tech Park, powered by Al Marzooqi Holdings FZC.

Stating that Kerala is all set to become a global innovation hub with this bold leap, the chief minister said that the deal  marks an Rs 850 crore FDI investment in Technopark Phase III.

“Designed for sustainability and collaboration, this landmark project will create over 10,000 jobs and stand as a symbol of Kerala’s vertical growth and expanding global footprint,” the chief minister wrote on X.

The new vertical innovation complex is designed to be Kerala’s Vertical Innovation Nexus, featuring LEED Platinum certification for sustainability, FAR 7-enabled design to maximize vertical space and Artificial intelligence laboratory for small companies.

Expected to generate over 10,000 jobs, the project is likely to trengthen Kerala’s reputation as an investment destination while boosting the state’s global presence in digital innovation.

The Kerala government had recently released data regarding the projects it has approved using the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) since 2016-17.

State Finance Minister K N Balagopal released the details that the government could achieve a milestone of approving 1,190 projects worth Rs 90,562 crore under KIIFB.
