Senior Kerala Congress leader son and BJP’s national spokesperson Anil Antony made a controversial comment regarding an issue that took place in a bus between few students and a woman in Kasarkode district on his social media handle X.

He wrote on X that no bus rides without a burqa in northern Kerala. The post was later deleted.

He commented on the basis of fake narrative video of the Kasarkode bus incident. The claim made in the video suggests that Muslim women are preventing other women from traveling on public buses in Kerala without wearing a burqa.

But the police had confirmed that the issue was not regarding the burqa.

Anil Antony posted on X mocking the INDIA alliance, Congress and CPI(M) stand on secularism. He also added that Shashi Tharoor too had to face consequences for calling the Hamas as terrorists.

When the real story of the bus incident came out, Anil Antony removed the post from his social media account. Fact checker Mohammed Zubair was tagged in a post where he mentioned ‘Shareat patrolling’ is being held in Kerala. For which Zubair replied that “You being a Malayali sharing misinformation just to please your masters? And later delete your communally misleading tweet on Kerala Bus incident after I am tagged? Shame on you for trying to divide Keralites”.

Anil Antony replied to him saying that “the words in the video is unclear – all anyone can hear is a lot of shouting and screaming and bullying by a bunch of Burqa clad women”.
