Police Officers Raped Me, Alleges Woman; Member Of Honey-Trap Gang, Says Accused Kerala Officer

The young woman has made shocking revelations against the higher-ups of the police in Malappuram district, through an exclusive report released by Malayalam news channel Reporter. The revelation is that the young woman who went to file a complaint was sexually assaulted by many police officers in various occasions, allegedly. The woman revealed that Sujith Das, ex-SP Malappuram; VV Benny, ex-DYSP Tirur, and ex-CI Vinod, Ponnani, sexually exploited her. The woman also revealed to Reporter that the police officers handed over the complaint to each other, so does the assault.

The alleged brutality took place in Malappuram in 2022. The woman approached the police to solve a property problem involving her family. Initially, she filed a complaint with Ponnani CI Vinod. But CI Vinod came to her house and allegedly raped her, according to the woman’s complaint. This complaint was later forwarded to DySP Benny. Benny, according to the woman, also came to her home on the pretext of enquiring about the property case and allegedly harassed her.

The woman said that she met Malappuram SP as she found no solution in the property case, but SP Sujith Das also raped her, allegedly in his office. It is also revealed that Sujit Das threatened her with consequences including a threat to kill her, and then he also dismissed the complaint. The woman told reporter that the SP asked her to submit herself to a certain customs officer, but she ran away from there.

She told the news channel that no action has been taken on her complaint and added that Sujit Das called Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan as “his uncle”.

Timeline contacted the Kerala Police on the allegations, and we haven’t received any response yet. However, reports said that a team headed by the DGP is investigating the matter.

While speaking to the Reporter TV, Ponnani former CI Vinod denied the woman’s molestation allegations. “The woman did not approached me with a complaint related to the house. I did not go to their house. Don’t know them. There was no contact including calls and WhatsApp calls. The witness says that they when me when I went to her house. I don’t know about that. It is being said that I arrived on a bike, but I do not own a bike,” he told the news channel.

“The woman is a member of a honey trap gang. The reason for the complaint against me was due to their failed attempt to extort money by filing a false complaint against me,” he added

Meanwhile, Nilambur MLA PV Anwar said that he hopes that the government will take fair action on the complaints he filed against the criminals in the Kerala Police. The MLA from the ruling alliance said a specific complaint was made to the Chief Minister and Party Secretary (CPM). “A team headed by the DGP is investigating the matter. It is hoped that the government will take a fair action. The suspension of Malappuram SP Sujith Das is the first sign of action,” Mr Anwar said reportedly.
