The Mutt located in Varkala of Kerala”s Thiruvananthapuram district is also the headquarters of the Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham, an organisation of his disciples and saints, established by the Guru to propagate his concept of “One Caste, One Religion, One God”.
The Mutt is also a famous tourist pilgrimage site and it observes the birth and death anniversary of Guru in much relevance.
Mr Modi visited Sivagiri Mutt in 2015 and 2013.
“He championed the cause of the downtrodden and transformed the societal landscape with his wisdom. We remain inspired by his unwavering commitment to social justice and unity”, Mr Modi said on Thursday.
