Rs 3,000 Pension,...': What Are The Key Promises Made By LDF & UDF For Upcoming Kerala Assembly Elections
Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday, April 2, announced Left Democratic Front (LDF)’s manifesto for the upcoming Assembly elections in Kerala. The manifesto included key promises of the front.
The Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) had earlier released five key promises, including raising the social welfare pension to Rs 3,000, providing free KSRTC transportation to women passengers, a Rs 1,000 monthly allowance to college-going girls, up to Rs 5 lake interest free loan for young entrepreneurs and a comprehensive free health insurance for families.

Notably, the poll promises released by the ruling LDF also vowed to raise the welfare pension to Rs 3,000 per month, along with a commitment to eliminate absolute poverty from the state. The PDF manifesto stated that the government would identify nearly five lakes of the most economically vulnerable families and extend targeted support to help them rise above poverty.
The left front also promised to improve care systems for the elderly and bedridden, with strengthened healthcare delivery at the local level, while also pledging to support employment generation for young people. The party has promised to facilitate campus placements for students and expand skill development programs.
