YouTube Music Introduces New Feature: Search Songs By Humming

YouTube Music is rolling out a feature for Android users that allows them to search for songs simply by humming the tune, as reported by The Verge.

For those moments when you have a melody stuck in your head but can”t recall the song”s title, this feature enables you to whistle, sing, or play a recording of the song, making it easier to find.

To check if the feature is accessible to you, click on the search icon and look for a new waveform icon next to the microphone icon. By clicking on the waveform icon, the app initiates a listening mode to identify the song based on the audio input.

It”s important to note that not all users have access to this feature yet. YouTube Music may be planning a gradual rollout to more users in the coming weeks.

To use the feature, hold the waveform icon and start humming, singing, or whistling the song you want to identify. YouTube Music will then analyse the audio within the next five to ten seconds and display matched songs, making it a seamless experience for music enthusiasts.
