Congress Announces 10 More Lok Sabha Candidates; Kanhaiya Kumar From North East Delhi

Congress party today announced 10 more candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The latest list features former JNU student union leader Kanhaiya Kumar, who will be contesting his second Lok Sabha elections, this time from North East Delhi. In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Kanhaiya had contested as a CPI candidates in Bihar’s Begusarai and lost to union minister Giriraj Singh. BJP has fielded actor-politician Manoj Tiwari from North East Delhi, from where he was elected in 2014 and 2019.

Dr Dharamvira Gandhi, former AAP leader who joined the Congress recently, has been fielded from Patiala. Dr Gandhi had won from the seat in 2014 against then three-time MP Preneet Kaur.

Apart from Delhi, the list also carries names from Punjab and Uttar Pradesh.
