Dhairyasheel Mane, Shiv Sena Candidate To Retain Hatkanangale

Dhairyasheel Sambhajirao Mane is fielded as the Ek Nath Shinde-led Shiv Sena candidate from the Hatkanangale constituency. He is the sitting MP from the Hatkanangale constituency. In the 2019 general election, he got elected by securing 5,85,776 votes.

Dhairyasheel’s grandfather Rajaram was a member of the Lok Sabha constituency for 5 terms. He represented the Ichalkaranji constituency and was a member of the Indian National Congress party. Dhairyasheel’s mother Nivedita Mane was also MP of Lok Sabha for two terms 1999 and 2004, representing Ichalkaranji constituency for Nationalist Congress Party. 

Born in 1981, Dhairyasheel comes from a politically active family. The Shiv Sena leader started off his political journey on a local level, first as a member of Gram Panchayat, then as a member of Zila Parishad. It was in 2019 that he took a major step and entered into national politics. 

Being an active member in politics, he has held many positions. In 2002, he was elected as a member of the Rukadi Gram panchayat. And then got elected as the Kolhapur Zilla Parishad in 2007. In 2009, he was the deputy president of the Kolhapur Zilla Parishad. 

In 2012, again Dhairyasheel was re-elected as the Kolhapur Zilla Parishad. Hatkanangle Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 48 Lok Sabha constituencies in Maharashtra. The constituency was dissolved as a part of the implementation of delimitation in 1976. The constituency came again in existence in 2008 as part of delimitation. As of 2019 the eligible voters are 17,72,563 including 9,14,358 males, 8,58,138 females and 67 others.

The constituency comprises six Vidhan Sabha segments.
