Paris: A French magazine titled Le Papotin, produced by journalists with autism, went on sale on newsstands for the first time on Wednesday. The editorial team consists of around 40 journalists on the autism spectrum.

The annual magazine features high-profile celebrity interviews and cultural content. While the print editions are sold through its website, the Le Papotin magazines were distributed to around 3,000 shops and newsstands in the country from Wednesday with nearly 10,000 copies.

The front page of the 2025 edition features Philippe Katerine, a French musician who gained popularity after he appeared painted blue and almost naked in the Paris Olympics 2024. The controversial scene was likened to Jesus’ “Last Supper.”

According to Prisma Media, the biggest magazine publisher in France, it had worked with different partners to ensure Le Papotin was distributed free of cost with a cover price of 10 euros ($10.30).

Set up in 1990, the idea behind Le Papotin was adapted for a hit television show that saw the magazine’s journalists interview top public figures. Some of their past interviewees include President Emmanuel Macron, rugby sensation Antoine Dupont, and astronaut Thomas Pesquet.
