17-Year-Old Kerala Expat Student Dies Of Cardiac Arrest In UAE
A 17-Year-Old Indian expat student in the UAE has died following a cariac arrest, her family reportedly said on Friday. The deceased is identified as Aisha Mariam, a grade 11 student at Sharjah Indian School, who turned 17 on December 9.
Her family hails from Kerala, reportedly said that Aisha suddenly fell unwell and was rushed to the nearest private hospital on Thursday. She remained unresponsive, and doctors declared her dead on Thursday afternoon.
However, the underlying conditions of the cardiac arrest remain unknown.
Aisha Mariam, the daughter of Muhammed Saife and Rubeena Muhammed Saife, has mortal remains being kept at the Sharjah Police Mortuary while necessary formalities are completed.

Legal proceedings for the repatriation of Aisha’s body are currently underway and being handled by Yab Legal Service, said the firm’s CEO, Salam Pappinissery, who is from the native place of Aisha’s family in Kannur district, Kerala.
Aisha’s death marks the second reported case of an Indian teenage student dying of cardiac arrest in the UAE in recent months.
On October 21, another 18-year-old expat student in Dubai, Vaishnav Krishnakumar, had died of cardiac arrest.
