Applications are invited for the Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship 2025 which provides a unique opportunity for Indian students to pursue full-time Master’s degree programs in the United Kingdom. The applications can be submitted via the official Commonwealth Scholarship Commission’s Online Application System and the Ministry of Education’s SAKSHAT portal.

The application window will remain open till October 15, 2024. The scholarship covers study in different fields and aims to support talented individuals committed to making a significant contribution to India’s development upon their return.

This scholarship only supports a one-year taught Master’s program, excluding MBA degrees.

Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship 2025: Financial Support

It provides comprehensive financial support by covering various expenses while studying in the UK.

This covers full tuition fees, and accommodation expenses, and provides a monthly stipend for living costs. It also includes an allowance for warm clothing, a thesis grant for the completion of the final project, and travel grants for study-related travel within the UK or overseas. Single parents may also get child allowances.

An airfare from the home country to the UK and a return ticket after the course completion is given under the course.

Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship 2025: Eligibility Criteria

  • A candidate must be an Indian citizen and permanent resident
  • Strong Academic background – minimum 60% marks obtained in undergraduate degree by September 2025
  • Applicant must secure an offer of admission from a UK university listed on the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission website by October 31, 2024
  • Applicants must show financial need and prove their inability to study in the UK without this financial support
