A 23-year-old nursing graduate woman died of severe blood loss due to excessive bleeding as her boyfriend wasted time by searching online for remedies. The incident occurred at a hotel in the Navsari district in Gujarat on September 23.

As per the reports, young woman suffered vaginal bleeding during their intercourse. Panicked by the situation, instead of calling for medical help, her boyfriend searched online the ways to stop the bleeding, the NDTV reported citing the police.

He also attempted to stop the blood flow by using a cloth, which ended in futile. The woman became unconscious after some time.

Alarmed, he called his friend who came and then they took her to a private hospital. She was then referred to the Navsari Civil Hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.

Though her boyfriend contacted her family using her phone, by the time they arrived, she had already succumbed. The delay in seeking medical treatment is the considered as the major cause of young woman’s death.

“The forensic report stated she died due to excessive bleeding. Instead of calling 108 or medical assistance, he contacted his friends and transferred her to a private vehicle after waiting for them. Had she received emergency medical aid with IV fluids, blood, and medicines, she would have survived,” the Economic Times quotes, as Superintendent of Police Sushil Agrawal is saying.
