
Anonymous Parties In Gujarat Get Huge Donations: 'Will EC Probe?' Asks Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi: Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday revealed that there are some anonymous political parties in Gujarat whose names no one has heard of, but they still received donations worth 4300 crores. The Congress leader pointed out these parties have contested elections on very few occasions, or the money may have spend on them.
The Congress leader then asked where the thousands of crores that these unanimous political parties received came from and who is running them and where the money goes.

“Will the Election Commission investigate – or will it ask for affidavits here too, like before?,” the Congress leader asked in a social media post. He further sarcastically wrote that if the Election Commission change the law itself, so that this data can also be hidden.

There have been rumors on social media that the BJP is creating fake political parties ‘like shell companies and using this money to buy voters and manage opposition candidates.’

A user, Shantanu, sharing a report showing a total of ten parties’ electoral data, pointed out that these ten parties in Gujarat have got only 55,000 votes in 3 elections which they contested, and they have received Rs 4300 crore in donations in the last 5 years.
