The annual solar eclipse famously known as the ring of fire will once again appear on the sky, but this time only its view promised to parts of the western US and Central and South America. This celestial Marvel appears for the first time since 2012 and will have to wait until 2046 to get a glimpse of it, if missed.

This epic moment offers the view of sun precisely lined up with moon giving an image of moon surrounded with a fire ring. This is because on October 14th, the moon will pass in front of the sun while at its furthest point from Earth without covering the star fully.

But this event will not be a grand spectacle as a total solar eclipse will be coming to North America in April.

During the eclipse, it will provide a great opportunity to the scientists to collect valuable data’s from the Sun’s outer atmosphere known as the corona, which is typically obscured by the sun’s intense brightness, during the time of eclipse.

Eight states in US will be fortunate to witness celestial event, passing from Oregon in the North West to Texas in the South East starting at 9.13am PT and ending at 12.03pm CT, reports Independent.

After passing over the Gulf of Mexico, the eclipse will then cross Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Panama, Columbia and Brazil.

The space agency NASA will livestream the event and has also created an interactive map to track the solar eclipse’s progress. The agency has also advised to wear specialised eye protection glasses while viewing the eclipse.

Unfortunately, India will have to wait till next eclipse to witness the event as this time the annular eclipse will be visible to the people of Western Hemisphere.
