Arsenal star Gabriel Jesus has been banned from Counter-Strike 2. The forward received a VAC (Valve anti-cheat) ban on his Steam account, following which, he took to X and posted a screenshot of it. The Brazilian appealed to Valve to overturn his ban, believing it was unfair.

As per a report in Counter-Strike skin trading service CS.MONEY, the in-game items attached to Jesus’ account are worth around $38,000, which are all lost, until the ban is overturned.

“Hi @counterstrike my account received a VAC ban unfairly, can you help me? Follow the account link and print of the ban,” Jesus tweeted.

Notably, a VAC ban is not overturned easily as Valve typically refuses to do so until there is evidence of a mistake or cheating from the player. In Jesus’ case, it is still not known why the forward was banned from the game. In case, he actually broke any of the Steam terms of service, it would warrant a ban.

However, due to Jesus’ standing in the mainstream consciousness and his love of the game, his ban might be overturned by Valve. His presence will also help Valve to increase their fan base further.

VAC ban can also be caused due to some software interfering with the game program. It is usually due to cheats of some type, like wallhacks or aim-assistance.

Not only Jesus, but also his Brazilian teammates such as Casemiro and Neymar Jr. are big fans of Counter-Strike. The game has a huge fan base in Brazil, with Neymar often supporting the professional side FURIA at various tournaments.
