Bangladesh will host Sri Lanka in the three-match One-Day International (ODI) series at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram. The ODI series is set to get underway after the completion of the Twenty20 Internationals (T20I)  which the visitors won by a 2-1 margin.

Sri Lanka won the first T20I narrowly by three runs while Bangladesh bounced back in the second to clinch victory by eight wickets and level the series. In the series decider, Sri Lanka edged Bangladesh by 28 runs with wicketkeeper-batter Kusal Mendis scoring 86 runs to take the visitors to a defendable target.

However, the ODI series is likely to be more intense between the two sides. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have faced off 54 times in ODI. Out of these matches, Sri Lanka won 42 whereas Bangladesh came out victorious on 10 occasions. Meanwhile, two matches ended without a result.
