Phogat was disqualified from the final citing a few grams overweight on Wednesday. She was supposed to confront America’s Sarah Hildebrandt in the 50-kilogram (kg) category in the wrestling final of the Olympics.

The wrestler approached the international body for sports and challenged her disqualification from the Olympics. According to reports, the case will be heard tomorrow, August 9 at 12:30 pm.
Noting that Phogat won the three fights on that day in accordance with the laws, her team requested the CAS to award her a joint-silver medal by maintaining her ranking from day one of the tournament.

As per the regulation set by the United World Wrestling (UWW), those who do not make the weight in their category on either day are disqualified, and Phogat was allegedly overweight on day two after she successfully made the weight on day one of the competition
