The visually challenged Indian women”s cricket team won gold in IBSA World Games beating Australia, on Saturady.

Australia was defeated by nine wickets with 114-8 in 20 overs. And the incredible Indian team created history with their outstanding victory.

Cricket for visually challenged made its debut in International Blind Sports Federation World Games (IBSF) this year.

The IBSA World Games (formerly IBSA World Championships and Games) or World Blind Games are an international multi-sport event, occurring every four years. It is organized by the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA). The events enable blind and partially sighted athletes to compete in a number of sports.

“Kudos to the Indian women”s blind cricket team for winning the Gold at the IBSA World Games”, wrote Prime Minister Narendra Modi on X

“The  A monumental achievement that exemplifies the indomitable spirit and talent of our sportswomen. India beams with pride!”, Mr Modi added.

A tremendous accomplishment that best represents the talent and unwavering spirit of our athletes.  is proud of the achievements our women”s”s blind cricket team!”, wrote the Federal Minister Anurag Thakur on X.  He is the current Union Minister of Sports, Youth Affairs and Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
