IPL 2024: Jasprit Bumrah Set For Mumbai Indians Comeback; Joins Camp In Ahmedabad

Written by Timeline Sports Desk

Premier India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah on Friday joined the Mumbai Indians camp for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at his hometown in Ahmedabad.

Bumrah is set for his Mumbai Indians comeback after missing out on the previous edition of the lucrative tournament due to a stress fracture on his back. Mumbai Indians showcased images of the Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad and dhol celebrations as the premier India fast bowler made his entry to the team hotel.

“Why fear? 𝗕𝗢𝗢𝗠 is here 😎🔥,” the five-time champions captioned the picture. Bumrah, too, shared his pictures after arrival at the team hotel.

Bumrah will spearhead Mumbai Indians pace battery after making a comeback to the side. He joins the side at the back of his brilliant performance against England in the home Test series, where he scalped 19 wickets, and became the joint-fastest Indian fast bowler to reach 150 wickets in the longest format.

It helped him become the first Indian fast bowler to rise to No.1 ranking in Tests and first bowler to achieve that spot in all three formats.

The Ahmedabad-native was also a part of the India’s run to the final at the 2023 World Cup. He was the fourth-highest wicket taker with 20 scalps to his name.

Mumbai Indians will begin their campaign against Gujarat Titans on March 24.
