England all-rounder Liam Livingstone was signed by Royal Challengers of Bangalore (RCB) for Rs 8.75 crore during the Indian Premiere League 2025 mega auction in Jeddah on Sunday. The right-handed batsman is one of the most sought-after T20 batters in the world.

Livingstone is known for his hard-hitting finishing role and he has played an integral role in England’s white-ball as well. He has scored 939 runs in the IPL at a strike rate of 162.45, including six fifties, representing two teams in the cash-rich league – Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Kings had decided not to use the RTM card for Livingstone.

Livingstone was released by PBKS ahead of the auction. He had been part of the team since 2022 and this was the first time Livingstone was part of the marquee set at an IPL auction.

He possesses the rare skill of switching between wrist spin and finger spin within the same over, which makes him an exciting proposition.
Livingstone is known to be a modern-day T20 specialist, playing in various leagues worldwide like the IPL, Big Bash League and SA20.

In 2022, he was bought it for a staggering Rs 11.5 crore in the 2022 IPL auction by Punjab Kings and delivered for them that season, scoring 437 runs at an average of 36.42 and a mind-boggling strike rate of 182.08, including four fifties.
