Mongolia Record Lowest Total In Men's T20I; Bundled Out For 10

Being put into bat, the Mongolian cricket team fell like a pack of cards as they were bundled out for 10 runs in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier A against Singapore, at Bangi, Malaysia on Thursday, recording the joint-lowest total in Men’s T20I. The Isle of Man had recorded the same score against Spain last year.

The reading of the Mongolian scoreboard was dominated by Singapore’s leg-spinner Harsha Bharadwaj, who ran through the top and middle-order, to return figures of 6 for 3. Five batters from the Mongolian side were sent packing for a duck while two of them contributed two runs each — the highest — to the team’s tally. They were bundled out in 10 overs, scoring at a rate of one run per over.

In response, Singapore took five deliveries to chase down the target with 9 wickets to spare. Their captain Manpreet Singh was dismissed for a first-ball duck while his opening partner William Simpson (6 not out) and incoming batter Raoul Sharma (7 not out) guided them past the target with ease.

This was the second consecutive win for Singapore in the Asia Qualifier. They currently have six points in their kitty, behind Hong Kong and Kuwait, who have eight points each in their kitty.

Malaysia, Myanmar, Maldives, and Mongolia are the four other teams vying to qualify from Asia.
