Who Is Arnav Paparkar, Indian Teenager Who Scripted History Storming Into Wimbledon Junior Quarter-Finals
Arnav Pararkar, the 18-year-old Indian boy who recently managed to reach the singles quarter-finals at Wimbledon, creating history becoming the first Indian to reach the the quarter-finals at the All England Club since 1990.
For the past 36 years, no Indian could manage to win the Wimbledon boys’ singles title or reach the quarter-finals. The teenager stormed into the last eight junior teams, giving prospects for the country in the prestigious championships.

The ITF Junior World No. 19 defeated Japan’s Ryo Tabata 6-2, 6-1 to reach in the last eight, having earlier produced one of the biggest upsets of the tournament by knocking out junior World No. 3 Keaton Hance of the United States 6-2, 6-3.
In 1990, Leander Paes earned international fame when he won the Wimbledon Junior title and reached No. 1 in the junior world rankings at age 17.
